Dianna Daly

Over the past 40 years I have woven a career in art,, dance,, yoga and exercise. I currently teach yoga and meditation at Salem State University and dance, yoga and movement for seniors and people with Parkinson's throughout the North Shore of Boston. I am gratefully sponsored as a Wertheimer Fellow by the Mark Morris Dance for PD program, Parkinson's Fitness of Salem, MA and the Essex, Wenham and Gloucester Senior Centers, Day by Day adult day care and well as private clients.

I graduated from Skidmore College with BS in textiles and jewelry in 1984 and continued studies in painting at the National College of Art in Dublin Ireland where I lived with my husband and daughter from 2001-2006. I was the co-creator of C&DDesigns (formerly Weave it to Us) weaving tapestries by commission for corporations such as Raytheon and also for galleries and in private homes. I have exhibited paintings at the Blue Leaf gallery and the Painters of St. Stephen's Green in Dublin Ireland and wearable fiber art at Flat Rocks Gallery in Gloucester. I have been blessed for the past few years to share a fantastic studio space with my mom on the 4th floor at the Porter Mills Studios, 95 Rantoul St.,Beverly, MA.

In my 35 years as a performer, I had the pleasure of dancing for many wonderful choreographers and had the opportunity to perform in Boston's Celebrity Series, Boston Ballet's Dance on the Top Floor, Dances on the Esplanade and Boston's First Night. I also had the pleasure of coordinating the Boston Ballet's Outreach Program working in the Boston Public Schools as a dance teacher/guest artist. More recently I have participated in multi age dance projects for the Across the Ages Dance Project, Caitlin Corbet Dance and Peter Dimuro's Dance on the Esplanade and choreographed and danced with my Parkinsons clients in Crane Dances, a video project for the World Parkinsons Conference in Japan.
